I am Paraskevi Kostoula and I teach in a Technical Upper Secondary School. I have been teaching for nearly 20 years tourism and economics. I hold a Msc in Hotel and Catering Management by the Ulster University as well as a Msc in the administration of educational units by the University of Aegean. Recently I graduated from the department of primary education by the University of Aegean.
In the past I had been working in the tourism sector as a hotel manager and that experience contributes to link the teaching to the tourism industry – crucial for Greece development.
I enjoy teaching and moreover encouraging students to follow their dreams.

Lina Filippaki
My name is Lina Filippaki, I was born in Rhodes , I am married and I have a son. I have studied Business Administration at the University of Athens. I also have a second degree as a Kindergarten teacher and a Master ' s degree in Environmental Education. I speak English and Italian and I am computer literate.
I have been teaching Economics in High School for 11 years now and at the same time I ' be been giving Seminars on Marketing , Sales and Communication for adults, among other things. I love my job because it is challenging, it fills me with satisfaction and it had always been the job of my dreams!
Every academic year I run various educational and experiential programs for students. I am definitely of the opinion that the real knowledge is fully gained through one ' s freedom in experimenting and participating in various educational activities.
6th International Congress "MANAGEMENT of DISASTER VICTIMS"


32 students and their teacher Filippaki Lina participated in the 6th International Congress "Management of Disaster Victims" that took place in Rhodes 8-12 October 2016. They were all volunteers acting as disaster victims and accepting medical health from medical students, nurses and doctors. It was an excellent experience for everyone!!

Gina Lyristis



My name  is  Gina  Lyristis  and I am a mathematician . I hold  a degree  from the University of  Patras –department  of mathematics with specialty  in theoretical mathematics.
 I  am  in  my  2nd year  of my  MA  studies  in maths  teaching  and philosophy .  
For  the last  15 years  I have been  employed , as  a  math  teacher , of  several  public schools in various areas  of  Greece.  Specifically   for  8 years now, I have been  teaching at the 4th Lyceum of   Rhodes.
 I am interested  in  expanding  my  knowledge. In my opinion   Belgium’s   educational  system will add to my professional  improvement.
I  am also keen on reading, philosophy,   photography lessons and  sports   activities such as swimming . Following a healthy   lifestyle  is important  to me.

3rd National Sports Day at 4th Lyceum


Teachers and students enjoyed sports on Monday the 3rd of October 2016 during the 3rd National Sports School Day. Many volunteers spent the day in our school showing students many interesting and unusual sport activities, such us yoga, floorball, aerobic dance etc.
The theme of the day was "enjoy sports without being afraid of failure"















Science Escape Room







On Monday the 3rd of October the 4th Lyceum of Rhodes organised a Science Escape Room for students. Separated in small groups students had to solve riddles based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in order to find the key and unlock the door of the science lab. There was plenty of enthousiasm and everyone agreed on how interesting and amusing school science could be.


Visiting CERN


 35 students and 3 teachers from 4th Lyceum of Rhodes visited the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland. The visit took place the 14th of December 2015. All students participated in a school project about science and were well prepared about the structure of matter, the nuclear research and physics concerning energy.
While visiting CERN we had the opportunity of meeting with greek researchers that work there. There is a video on YouTube about this visit:

Eleni Chatzizisi

My name is Eleni Chatzizisi and I am a teacher of Greek literature. I graduated from the department of Greek literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens specializing in classical studies (ancient Greek and Latin language and literature) in 1999 (grade: 8,28/10). I also speak English and German and I am computer literate. After successful participation in the national exams for teachers I was employed as a teacher in 2001. Since 2001 I have been teaching ancient and modern Greek and Latin language  in public secondary schools of Dodecanese. For the first four years of  my career I have worked in Symi, a small island of Dodecanese. The students of a small acritic island have to face many problems and difficulties and I had to stand by them and to encourage them to achieve their goals. I have been working at the 4th  general Lyceum of Rhodes for the last ten years. My aim is to motivate my students to be interested in their native language and culture and also in the European culture. Moreover, another point of my work is to improve my students’ critical thinking skills.

Aggeliki Tenente

I am Aggeliki Tenente and I am a biologist. I am 43 years old, wife of Dimitris and mother of Thomas (14), Maria (10) and Amy (a 3 year old dog).
I graduated from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, deparment of Biology in 1996. I am also a Med holder in Environmental Education from the University of Aegean.
After graduating from the University, I worked as a researcher  in environmental microbiology for the non profit organisation OikoTechnics in Athens.
For the past fifteen years I have been working as a biology teacher in public schools all over Greece. I have been teaching biology at the 4th Lyceum of Rhodes for the past 6 years. I also encourage and support students participation in enviromental education projects and scientific competitions.
I believe in schools and teachers who stimulate their students' imagination and broaden their interests.
